Terms of Service &
Repair Agreement

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Business Name: Respawn Game and Tech Repair (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

By submitting a device, video game console, accessory, or electronic equipment to Respawn Game and Tech Repair for diagnosis, maintenance, or repair, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read this agreement carefully before authorizing work.

1. Scope of Services & Estimates

  • Diagnosis & Estimate: We will inspect your device and provide an estimated cost for necessary parts, labor, and services.

  • Authorization: Work beyond any agreed initial inspection will not begin without your express verbal, written, or electronic authorization (e.g., via email, text, or portal approval).

  • Refusal of Service & Infestation Policy: We reserve the right to decline service on any device for reasons including, but not limited to, active or past insect/pest infestation, extensive liquid damage, dangerous battery swelling, severe physical destruction, or unrepairable third-party modifications.

  • Deep Cleaning Fee: Devices that arrive excessively dirty, contaminated, or showing signs of pest infestation/debris will be subject to a mandatory $60 deep cleaning fee to cover sanitization, specialized handling, and shop equipment protection before any repair work can proceed.

2. Data & Media Responsibility

  • Data Backup: You are solely responsible for backing up all save data, games, media files, and personal settings prior to submitting your device for repair.

  • No Data Guarantee: While we take precautions during testing and repair, hardware replacements, board-level repairs, and diagnostic procedures may result in data loss or formatting.

  • Liability: Respawn Game and Tech Repair is not liable for lost, corrupted, or irrecoverable data, account credentials, or saved game files.

3. Pre-Existing Issues, Liquid Damage, & Modifications

  • Hidden/Pre-Existing Damage: Devices submitted for repair may have secondary, underlying damage (such as unseen board corrosion, micro-fractures, or worn components). Resolving one defect may surface pre-existing issues for which we are not responsible.

  • Liquid Damage: Devices with past or present liquid exposure are inherently unpredictable. Repair efforts may temporarily restore function, but long-term reliability cannot be guaranteed, and attempts to repair may exacerbate existing board issues.

  • Warranties & Modifications: Opening, modifying, or repairing your device may void manufacturer warranties or seal stickers.

4. Abandoned Property

  • Pickup & Completion Notification: You will be notified via email, phone, or text message once your item is ready for pickup or return delivery.

  • 30-Day Storage Limit: Devices left unpaid or uncollected for 30 calendar days after notification will be deemed abandoned under applicable Maryland property laws.

  • Disposition: Abandoned devices may be sold, recycled, or wiped to recover unpaid labor, replacement part expenses, and storage fees.

5. Payments & Diagnostic Fees

  • Diagnostic/Bench Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee may apply if a repair is declined following inspection or if a device is deemed beyond economical repair.

  • Payment Terms: Full payment for parts, labor, deep cleaning fees, and applicable taxes is due prior to or upon pickup/delivery of the serviced equipment.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, credit/debit cards, and approved electronic payments.

6. Limited Repair Warranty

  • Warranty Coverage: We offer a 90-day limited warranty covering the specific parts replaced and labor performed by Respawn Game and Tech Repair.

  • Exclusions: This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Subsequent physical drops, impact damage, or liquid exposure after service.

  • Self-repair attempts, improper user installation, or third-party tampering post-repair.

  • Wear-and-tear items (e.g., normal battery depletion over time).

  • Unrelated hardware or software failures that occur after the repair.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Respawn Game and Tech Repair shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claims shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service provided.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
